This sacrament is for the seriously ill. It includes a prayer for both physical and spiritual healing and an anointing with blessed oil on the forehead and both hands.
Four times a year we celebrate this sacrament during a Friday morning Mass for anyone who feels in need of it.
Parishioners who are ill, or who have a family member or relative in need of this sacrament, are welcome to contact the parish office to have a priest come to their home for the anointing.
According to the mind of the Church, Catholics should not wait until someone is dying before asking for this sacrament.
