Baptisms
Baptism is the fundamental sacrament of our entry into the life of Christ in the Church. It is the gateway to all the other sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Baptism gives us new birth into Christ; it washes away our sins; it initiates us into the Paschal Mystery; and it incorporates us into the Communion of saints.
At St Therese and St Anthony’s we normally celebrate the baptisms on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month with two session. One at 11.00am and one at 11.45am. If the number of requests warrant, we may add an additional Sunday of the month. For special circumstances, please contact the Parish Office.
For adults the pre-eminent Sunday is Easter itself, and at St Therese and St Anthony’s we celebrate Adult baptisms at the Easter Vigil (unless there is an emergency) after the person has gone through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
You will need to contact the parish office to request an application form. Once you have the form, you can also schedule your child’s baptism. Your child must be 8 years of age or younger, please contact:
