Our Parish Pastoral Council is a group of committed parishioners who regularly meet with our Parish Priest to share responsibility for the development of our parish community. Their main task is to work with the Parish Priest and his team to discover and help implement ways to promote the faith life of parishioners and extend the mission of the Church in our area. Parish Pastoral Council members are asked to get to know parishioners and be willing to receive feedback from them and pass this on at our regular meetings so that it can be used to help build up our community.
This is a group of people with relevant expertise who assist the Parish Priest with the effective management of the parish finances, including providing consultation and making recommendations when applicable.
There are sick and aged parishioners living in their own homes who are unable to get to Church. We have a group of wonderful people who visit them on a fortnightly basis. If you are interested in helping with this ministry please contact the parish office to register your interest.
Our parish welcomers are the initial contact people have when arriving at Church, and at our many functions. They also greet, hand out newsletters, answer questions and offer our hospitality. They are our representatives. All sorts of people could be involved with the Mass Welcomers Ministry. If you are interested in helping with this ministry, please contact the Parish Office to register your interest.
Every Sunday after each of the Masses, our Hospitality team are ready to greet Parishioners and visitors with a smile, a cup of tea or coffee, and a tasty treat. On the second Saturday of every month, straight after our 5.00pm Mass, we also have Wine & Cheese. This makes for a wonderful opportunity to have a chat with other parishioners, and encourage that sense of community and belonging that makes the Little Flower Church so joyful. If you are interested in helping with this ministry, please contact the Parish Office to register your interest.
Members of the society come together in groups known as conferences. The main work of the Little Flower Conference here at Kedron is visiting local people in their homes who have asked for assistance. This may include help with budgeting, provision of food and food vouchers, provision of furniture and other household items, or emergency payment of rent, school expenses or essential utilities. We are currently looking for new members, so if you have a couple of hours a week to spare and would like to deepen your faith through love of God and love of neighbour, please contact Parish Office for more information.
This group reaches out to the housebound, isolated, lonely, and marginalised, providing a familiar place to connect and have fun in a welcoming atmosphere. Our guests come together every Tuesday morning where they can enjoy bingo, craft, painting/art, scrabble and card playing etc, followed by a shared lunch. In this way, along with our team of volunteers, we help each other grow as a community and overcome some of the disconnection that so many in our community sometime feel. If you would like to be involved with the Samaritans or would like to find out more information, please contact the Parish Office.
